Dilip Ghosh slams rivals: ‘Will drag them out and beat them up,’ accuses leaders of making false claims

"I will leave politics, but I will not leave my temperament. If you want to do politics, do it decently; otherwise, if you misbehave, I will set you straight" former MP and senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh made these remarks on Saturday morning while attending a tea party in Kharagpur city of West Midnapore district. He was commenting on an incident that took place on Friday in Ward No. 6. He also mentioned that he did not lose his temper regarding that incident.

Considering his anger, he said, "What I said was right. I am standing in Kharagpur and saying that if anyone comes to misbehave like this, I will drag them out of their house and beat them up, no matter which party they belong to." No matter how big a leader Dilip Ghosh may be, he never steps onto anyone’s ancestral property. "If you want to do politics there, do it with humility, or else we know how to handle it. Kharagpur is not anyone's father's estate. Dilip Ghosh goes door to door and understands the difficulties of every person. The man who did nothing while being chairman, who did nothing for the council for so many years, who did nothing even as an MLA, now claims he built roads and writes on boards—'Honorable Former MP Dilip Ghosh.' Do people walk around with grass in their mouths? They are marching there shamelessly. If they have the courage, let them build a drainage system and show us."

Dilip Ghosh's mood will always remain the same. "I am not anyone's servant, I don’t even ask for a cup of tea. I will neither take from anyone, nor give, nor spare anyone." When asked whether the party would take action against him, he replied, "Dilip Ghosh is enough, and the workers here are enough. If TMC thinks they can start politics in Kharagpur with this, then from tomorrow, I will beat you up inside your house, and if not there, then I will drag you out to the street and thrash you. And this will be tomorrow’s main headline. I will make it clear what bad words are and what good words are."

"I do not want to put up a facade in front of so-called gentlemen. I am doing politics against my enemies. Those who hide in their wives' laps will give me certificates? Those who never stepped out of their house and urinated in fear when threatened, they will certify me? Never." Dilip Ghosh may leave politics, but he will never leave his anger.
